Job DescriptionDue to tremendous success and demand for our services, the Apex Group has an immediate need for a dynamic Account Manager of Carrier Services. The Account Manager will be responsible for growing wholesale carrier data connectivity services from our carrier suppliers, Level 3 and Epsilon. Level 3 is the world's largest IP backbone provider carrying over 20% of the world's IP traffic and recognized as the world's number one wholesale carrier in North America, Europe, and now Middle East. Epsilon is a global network solutions provider offering carriers collocation, network design, maintenance and the world's largest telecom Meet Me Room.

The Apex Group is responsible for developing and maintaining business in the Middle East and Africa for our suppliers. Today, the Apex Group services nearly 20 of the largest regional service providers including: Saudi Telecommunications Company, Etisalat, Mobily, Vodafone Egypt, Qtel, ITC, Glo, Du, and Telkom South Africa.

The candidate's main responsibilities will include:
  1. Managing and growing revenues from data services (IP Transit, IP Leased Circuitry, MPLS, Liquid Express Routing, colocation) in the Middle East and Africa region.
  2. Developing and implementing actions to create additional opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell accounts to increase overall total customer spend with the company. Assist in creating account plans and strategies to win new business from both new as well as existing customers.
  3. Developing and managing customer relationships for assigned accounts in order to gain strategic positioning with decision makers, retain existing revenue and attain additional business.
  4. Providing accurate and detailed weekly forecast funnel of identified and proposed opportunities in order to meet or exceed sales quota requirements.
  5. Delivering responsive, proactive, and professional correspondences related to any account functionality including billing, service activation, or escalation of technical support.
  6. Learning and developing further knowledge of new technologies and selling points which includes enhancing expertise in the company's product application technologies.
  7. Developing sales in the designated target market(s) by identifying new sales opportunities by contacting prospective customers by cold calling, premise visits, networking, lead generation, proposal submission, and customer appointments.

The Account Manager will be given a group of existing customer accounts to manage and will have some responsibility to find new accounts as well. However, the main purpose of the Account Manager's role, is for Inside Sales & Account Development in order to provide the best sales support and management to our customers.

The Apex Group is seeking someone that is ambitious and would like tremendous growth and autonomy in their career. Based on performance, this Account Manager's role will may evolve to into a Regional Sales Manager position or may include hiring and managing other sales or technical resources. Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong command of English and Arabic written and spoken languages
  • 2-3 years of sales background
  • Resided in Western Europe or North America
  • Experience working for multi-national or US/UK technology company
  • High-level understanding of telecommunication and internet industries
  • Proficiency in MS office and internet applications
  • Proficiency in managing the sales lifecycle, prospecting, cold calling, and selling to close
  • Self-motivated, pro-active, results-oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction and ability to provide assistance to sales force

Preferred Requirements
  • Experience in solution selling IP, data, and voice network services
  • Experience in strategic, technical, and business communications application sales
  • Experience with the Salesforce CRM and/or Target Account Selling (or equivalent) is desired
  • Speaking and writing French

Compensation Attractive compensation package includes base salary, sales commission, health care and travel expense reimbursement. Commensurate upon experience.
