Job DescriptionDue to tremendous success and demand for our services, the Apex Group has an immediate need for an aggressive, knowledgeable and driven Sales Manager of CDN Services. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for growing sales from the Level 3's Content Delivery Network Service.

A Content Delivery Network (CDN) is the most efficient way for content producers such as broadcasters, gaming portals, large enterprises, and software developers to distribute their content over the internet. By using a CDN, content producers can reduce their infrastructure and network costs while also delivering their content via nodes that are closest to the edge of a global IP network.

The Apex Group's supplier, Level 3, is the world's largest IP backbone provider carrying over 20% of the world's IP traffic and recognized as the world's number one wholesale carrier in North America, Europe, and now Middle East. On top of its IP backbone, Level 3 is delivering the most advanced next generation CDN with caching, streaming, video ingest, video encoding, and video over IP transport to the world's largest content producers including: BBC, CNN, Al Jazeera, SkyNews, Fox, Microsoft and many more.

The Apex Group is responsible for developing and maintaining business in the Middle East and Africa for Level 3. Today, the Apex Group services nearly 20 of the largest regional service providers including: Saudi Telecommunications Company, Etisalat, Mobily, Vodafone Egypt, Qtel, ITC, Glo, Du, and Telkom South Africa.

The candidate's main responsibilities will include:
  1. Developing a regional pipeline of content producers seeking Level 3's CDN services by identifying new sales opportunities by contacting prospective customers by cold calling, premise visits, networking, lead generation, proposal submission, and customer appointments
  2. Demonstrating growth quarter over quarter in sales
  3. Meeting and exceeding quotas
  4. Serving as the key knowledge source for CDN services including caching, streaming, video ingest, video encoding, and video over IP transport
  5. Hiring and managing key technical resources (sales engineers, support engineer)
  6. Serve as Office Manager for the Apex Group in Dubai
  7. Providing accurate and detailed weekly forecast funnel of identified and proposed opportunities in order to meet or exceed sales quota requirements
  8. Delivering cross-selling opportunities within the Apex Group's services for the Apex Group's Content Management Systems, Content Licensing Services, IP transport, IP transit and hosting services

The Regional Sales Manager will be given a handful of existing accounts and opportunities to manage and grow. However, the main purpose of the Regional Sales Manager's role is to approach new accounts and aggressively grow CDN revenues in the region.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong command of English and Arabic written and spoken languages
  • 5+ years of sales background
  • Experience in selling to regional content producers including, entertainment, web content and broadcast accounts
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex sales and negotiations and develop integrated solutions to customer requirements
  • Strong knowledge in technologies involved with Content Delivery Networks including caching, streaming or encoding
  • Experience in strategic, technical, and business communications application sales
  • Resided in Western Europe or North America
  • Experience working for multi-national or US/UK technology company
  • High-level understanding of telecommunication and internet industries
  • Proficiency in MS office and internet applications
  • Proficiency in managing the sales lifecycle, prospecting, cold calling, and selling to close
  • Self-motivated, pro-active, results-oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction and ability to provide assistance to sales force

Preferred Skills
  • Speaking and writing French
  • Ideal candidate will have Broadcast and/or CDN experience

Compensation Attractive compensation package includes base salary, sales commission, health care, travel expense reimbursement, profit-sharing program. Commensurate upon experience.
